"Prim?" I call in wonder.
It was three years since he had last seen her; the day she had supposedly died. She looked around in panic, like she was hoping that she could hide. I ran to her but stopped short. She was covered in burns. I didn't mind the burns, though. I ran up to her and hugged her. She started to cry, shaking all over.
"Rory, don't tell Katniss." She sobbed. I saw Gale walking in the street, outside the market.
"Gale!" I call to him. He doesn't look at me. "Gale, Prim's alive!"
He spins around and runs toward us. "Oh my odd, Prim." He whispers, like he can't believe it. "Is it really you?"
"Yes, Gale." She says, wiping her tears away with her sleeve.
"We have to tell Katniss." He starts to leave, but she catches him by the sleeve.
"No Gale, please don't tell her!" She pleads.
"Prim?" I hear a soft voice say, and turn to see Katniss standing, the same way she did when she volunteered for Prim. But she looked shocked this time, not defiant.
